*NOW COMPLETE WITH TOTALLY UNRELATED STOCK PHOTO OF A SEAL ALBUM COVER!*
This is a fun one! Way back in 2009 when Mark Hawkins and I were just getting started working together, we did a couple straight up death metal EP's just for shits and giggles. These were basically breaks in between writing actual "serious music." We wanted all the major stereotypes - dumb band name, laughable song titles that make you cringe, and music that makes you want to bash your head (or someone else's) through a wall, complete with obvious callbacks to some of our favorite bands. Hence, "Rape the Dead" was born.
Both EP's are presented here as one album, actually in reverse order of release date; "...Kill the Living" came first but I felt like "Buffet of Bodily Fluids" was better to kick things off with. The first 4 songs are totally instrumental but you'll be surprised to hear that the last 4 have VOKILLS. That's right! Mark's good buddy Martyn Moody made us sound legit and we appreciate him for it.
If you're in the mood for a good laugh, have a listen.
